How many wheels on a train are there?
It depends
It is widely known the fact that there are various types of trains that are designed for particular purposes. This is the main reason the number of wheels varies. Keep in mind that a train generally consists of a combination of one or more locomotives and attached railroad cars, or a self-propelled multiple unit. For example, a goods wagon has 8 wheels, meaning 4 wheels on each of 2 bogies. Needless to say, a locomotive has 8 or 12 wheels, 4 or 6 on each of 2 bogies.
