Number of vertices on a square pyramid

How many vertices are there on a square pyramid?

It is interesting to know that in geometry, a square pyramid is a pyramid having a square base.  It is widely known the fact that a square pyramid has 5 vertices.  What about the faces of a square pyramid?  It has 4 triangles and 1 square.  The pyramid has 8 edges.  Keep in mind that like all the pyramids, the square pyramid is self-dual, having the same number of vertices as faces.  The vertex configuration is 4(32.4)(34).
