Number of tobacco users in America
How many tobacco users are there in America?
Not too many people know that tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of disease, disability, and death in the United States of America. Unfortunately, the use of tobacco represents a real “hobby” for the Americans. It is a dangerous hobby. Approximately 46.6 million people in the United States of America use tobacco. Statistics do not look too good. Each year, approximately 443,000 people die prematurely from smoking or exposure to secondhand smoke. Believe it or not, an estimated 88 million nonsmoking Americans, including 54% of children aged 3–11 years, are exposed to secondhand smoke.
