Number of seismic zones
How many seismic zones are there?
It is widely known that there are four types of seismic zones. The first one follows the line of midocean ridges. The main idea is that activity is low and it occurs at extremely shallow depths. The second seismic zone is the shallow-focus event unaccompanied by volcanic activity. The third zone is represented by the collision of oceanic and continental plates. Nevertheless, the fourth type of seismic zone occurs along the boundaries of continental plates. Unfortunately, we cannot say with too much accuracy when an earthquake will occur. Imagine that the processes in plate tectonics have been going on for millions of years
