How many Rhode Island delegates were there?

0

The final delegate selection to the U.S. Constitutional Convention in 1787(also known as the Philadelphia Convention or the Grand Convention) from the 13 states totaled 55 persons.  Rhode Island boycotted the Constitutional Convention, by not sending any delegate.  There were 55 delegates: 8 from Virginia, 4 from New Jersey, 8 from Pennsylvania, 5 from North Carolina, 5 from Delaware, 4 from Georgia, 3 from New York, 4 from South Carolina, 4 from Massachusetts, 3 from Connecticut, 5 from Maryland, 2 from New Hampshire and, obviously 0 from Rhode Island.  It is important to know that Rhode Island didn’t want an important central government to interfere in its economic issues.
