How many MPs are there in India?
It is widely known the fact that the Parliament of India is also known as Sansad. It is the supreme legislative body in India. It is interesting to know that the Parliament is composed of 790 MPs, who serve the largest democratic electorate in the world. Believe it or not, 714 million Indians registered to vote in the 2009 general elections. The Parliament of India is bicameral. The two houses are Rajya Sabha (Council of States) and Lok Sabha (House of the People). Keep in mind that the two Houses meet in separate chambers in the Sansad Bhavan.
