How many keys are there in a piano?

88.

Most modern pianos have 88 keys. 52 of these are white keys and 36 are black keys. These keys are sufficient to play the entire multiple octave spectrum (about 7 octaves) of an orchestra or a band. Older pianos have 85 keys, while gig pianos used by roving pianists have 65 keys. A 102-key piano has been manufactured by the Stuart and Sons company.
