Number of Inmates on Death Row
How many inmates on death row are there?
First and foremost, it is important to say that this number does not encompass all people on death row, since some of the 58 countries that adopt death penalty do not disclosure any details on the issue. Even so, according to Amnesty International there are, at least, 25,000 people on death row in the world. Top countries are: China (7,000 sentences only in 2008), Pakistan (7,000), the US (3,279) and Iran (at least 3,000).
