As of January 2009, there were more than 8 million enrollments into Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), as reported by the AHIP Center for Policy and Research. A health savings account is a non-taxable medical savings account available to American taxpayers who have been enrolled into a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
