6 domanins

It is widely known the fact that the Glucocorticoid receptor is the receptor to which cortisol and other glucocorticoids bind.  Not too many people know that the glucocorticoid receptor is also known as GR or GCR or NR3C1.  Keep in mind that the glucocorticoid receptor is modular in structure and contains the following domains (labeled A – F): A/B – N-terminal regulatory domain, C – DNA-binding domain (DBD), D – hinge region, E – ligand-binding domain (LBD) and F – C-terminal domain.
