A DVR is a consumer electronics device or application software that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device. It is interesting to know that 38% of viewers in the United States of America had a DVR in 2010. The main idea is that DVR adoption has rapidly accelerated in recent years. Keep in mind that in 2009 DVRs were used by 32 percent of all TV households.
