Number of bison in Yellowstone

How many bison are there in Yellowstone?

3700

Not too many people know the fact that the Yellowstone Park bison herd in Yellowstone National Park is probably the oldest and largest public bison herd in the United States.   There are probably 3700 bison in the Yellowstone Park.  It is interesting to know the fact that Yellowstone National Park may be the only location in the United States of America where free ranging bison have never extirpated.  This is definitely something.  Keep in mind that bison in Yellowstone Park are perhaps more frequently called buffalo by the visitors.

This fact is verified on : January 29, 2014.
