How many bicycles are there in the UK?

43% of the population owns or has access to a bicycle

Believe it or not, there are more and more bicycles in the UK.  In fact, 43% of the population owns or has access to a bicycle.  Statistics show the fact that around 8% of the population (meaning 3 million people) cycle 3 times a week or more.  This signifies that 34% of the population says they cycle once a year or more.  20 million people cycle at least once a year.  This is definitely something.  Needless to say, 762,334 people use a bicycle as the main form of transport for getting to work in England and Wales.
