Number of adults with learning disabilities

How many adults with learning disabilities are there?

20 people in every thousand

Statistics show that more and more adults have learning disabilities these days.  This is a dangerous trend.  In fact, imagine that 20 people in every thousand need support from the health and social care services because they have learning disabilities.  It is true that some adults feel ashamed of their difficulties such as basic literacy skills, slow processing, attention difficulties, chronic forgetfulness or organizational difficulties.  Some people try to hide their difficulties.  More and more people try to build a defense mechanism.
