How many rivers are there in Bangladesh?
Not too many people know that Bangladesh is a riverine country. Believe it or not, in Bangladesh there are about 800 rivers. They constitute a waterway of total length around 24,140 km. This is the main reason why most of the country’s land is formed through silt brought by the rivers. Here are some of the rivers in Bangladesh: Atrai, Bangali, Balu, Dakatia, Garai, Feni, Gomti, Jinai, Kazipur, Halda, Pusur, Naf, Nagar, Nalia, Teesta, Titas, Turag, Muhuri, Manu, Chitra, Dhepa, Padma, Surma, etc.
