How many MRT stations does Singapore have?
The full form of MRT is Mass Rapid Transit and it is one of the most comprehensive railway systems of Singapore as it spans the entire city. Singapore has focused on making this railway network the backbone of public transport. As per 2012 reports, around 2.7 million people use this network on a daily basis.
Currently there are 104 stations in operation and the others are in various stages of planning and construction. This network operates on 153 km of standard gauge railway lines. The railway service begins at 5.30 a.m. and ends before 1p.m every day.
